A Partial Teaching on Blame
What is blame and how does it operate?
This is a common question asked by every person in Janam.
Blame is an attempt to pass on the responsibility for his or her actions by one person to another person.
This is part of the attempt to avoid facing the consequences of his or her actions.
When I try to blame another person, I make a pistol of my right hand and point to that other person hoping that I may not have to face the consequences of my actions.
Operation of Blame
Operation 1: It is an attempt to pass responsibility by a person to ‘someone‘.
Operation 2: When a person tries to pass the blame, he or she makes a pistol of blame with the index finger pointing to the other party.
Comment: No one accepts blame.
Operation 3: The blamed person erects a full-length virtual mirror in front of himself or herself and thus becomes virtually invisible or hidden to the blame being thrown at him or her.
Operation 4: I will see a virtual image of myself in the virtual mirror when I raise the ‘Pistol of Blame’.
Comment: When I deposit money in the bank and withdraw it after some period, the bank gives me my capital + some interest when returning my money.
Operation 5: The virtual protective mirror acts like a virtual bank for the blame sent into it.
Operation 6: The mirror bank absorbs the blame, turns it around and sends it back through the finger of the virtual image pointing back at me.
Comment: The hand with 5 fingers open represent 100 units. Thus, each finger or thumb represents 20 units of blame.
Operation 7: The index finger pointing towards the blamed person thus represents 20 units.
Operation 8: When the mirror sends back 20 units that I sent, it adds 10 per cent interest = 2 units.
Operation 9: The thumb representing 20 units points upwards towards GOD.
Operation 10: GOD will also not accept the blame; therefore, the mirror there would send back 20 units+ 2 units as additional virtual interest.
Operation 11: The three clenched fingers in the palm of my hand representing 60 units of responsibility are already pointing towards me.
Operation 12: Thus, at the end of the attempt to blame, I end up with:
- 60 units from my own hand.
- 20+2 units from my index finger.
- 20+2 units from my thumb.
Total = 60+20+20+2+2=104 units of responsibility with additional stress.
The additional units are units of stress that I impose on myself.
Any attempt to blame brings me four additional units of stress, which is entirely self-inflicted.
Qn. Does it make sense to blame ‘someone’?
Ans. No, it only leads to a feeling of lowered self-esteem for me because I am adding 4 units of extra blame as interest.
In addition, I end up with a bad feeling and a bad taste in my mouth due to the self-inflicted stress.
Qn. Does blaming ‘anyone’ start a negative counter or meter?
Ans. Yes, blaming ‘anyone’ (that includes ‘I’ + all other) starts a negative counter in the account of my Atma and stops the corresponding negatively running counter in the account of the person I have tried to blame.
Comment 1: One cannot even blame oneself.
Comment 2: Learn without blaming oneself – like in school.
Common Misconceptions about Blame
Qn. What is Blame?
Ans. When I hold ‘someone’ responsible for something or I accuse ‘someone’.
Qn. How is the attempt to blame passed onto ‘someone’?
Ans. I use the index finger in the form of a pistol to point at the person and use words like ‘you are to blame’ or ‘this is your fault’ and so on.
Qn. When I use words ‘you are to blame’, what am I trying to do?
Ans. I am trying to shift the responsibility of consequences of my actions onto ‘someone’.
Qn. Will ‘someone’ accept blame?
Ans. No, because nobody will ever take the responsibility or face the consequences of another person’s actions.
